Charles Edward Sircey

Canton - Charles Edward Sircey, 50, of 662 Holder Branch Rd. died Thursday, August 5, 2004 at Silver Bluff Village following a short illness. A native of Trenton, NJ, he had resided in Buncombe County for most of his life. Mr. Sircey was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp, serving during Vietnam with the rank of Sergeant. He was a member of V.F.W. Post #891. He was the son of Helen Irene Burrell Sircey of Asheville and the late Charles Walker Sircey. In addition to his father he was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Walker Sircey, Jr. Surviving in addition to his mother are his sister, Sheila Lindsey of Clyde; half sister, Kathy Moore of Old Fort; brothers, Allen Sircey, Gene Sircey and George Sircey all of Asheville. Memorial services will be held at 12 noon Monday at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery Chapel, Black Mtn. with the Rev. James Gibson officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Buncombe County Veterans Memorial Team.
