Asheville Alice Charlene Lee Worley, 62, of 20 Deleuil Drive, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 9, 2013 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Vestal Lee and Helen Alice Young Lee. Charlene was a former Office Administrator at Bolick & Associates CPA where she retired in April 2012 following 24 years of service. She was past local President of the Asheville Business & Professional Womens Organization, served as volunteer for 22 years with the Festival of Trees with Hospice, was a 1977 graduate and Student Body President of A.B. Tech where she received her AAS in Accounting with Honors and was a 1968 graduate of Enka High School. Charlene was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for over 33 years and holds the State Honor of being an Alpha Omega. She was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church where she served with Women on Missions and sang in the church choir. Surviving are her husband whom she married July 20, 1996, Donald Layne Worley of the home; daughter, Amber Leigh Davis and husband Ronald of Asheville; step daughters, Kimberly Hawkins and husband Douglas of Balsam Grove and Tara June Whiteside and husband Jeff of Candler; grandchildren, William Wesley Crawford, Alicia Nicole Crawford and Samantha Rachelle Davis; step grandchildren, David Whiteside, Amanda Anderson and Allison Hawkins; step great-granddaughter, Emma Anderson and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Edgewood Baptist Church with Rev. Louis Gibson and Rev. Charlie Sams officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.
