Celeste Wilson

Marshall Celeste Lucille Allman Wilson, 97, of 1144 Upper White Oak Road, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 18, 2016 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native and resident most of her life of Buncombe County, she had worked with the State Department in Washington, DC for many years, taught piano, was a homemaker and was a member of the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution). Mrs. Wilson was the daughter of the late Loans Egbert Allman and Fonella Josephine Davis Allman and wife of Billy Ray Wilson who died January 3, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her son, John Alexander Wilson who died April 6, 2015 and brothers, Grady Allman and Roy Allman. Surviving are her sisters-in-law, Edna Allman of Marshall and Lois Allman of Candler and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Grandview Baptist Church Cemetery with Mr. Alvin Allman officiating. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 PM Saturday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
