Carsie Mae Hensley

Asheville - Carsie Mae Hensley, 74, of 100 Cherrio Lane, Apt. 64-B died Wednesday, February 25, 2004 at Mission Hospitals. A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Elsie Fox and Arlie Hensley Fox. She was a homemaker and a member of Sweeten Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. Hensley was the wife of James Francis Hensley who died in 1991. Surviving are her sons, Danny Hensley and wife, Dianne of Clover, S.C., David Hensley and wife, Margaret of Brevard, and Dennis M. Hensley and wife Starlla of Fairview; daughters, Shirley Smith and husband Herbert and Tracy Caldwell and husband Greenlee all of Asheville; sisters, Ruby Edwards of Burnsville and Margie Laing of Hickory; grandchildren, Camy, David, Jason, Chad, Nathan, Kaytlyn, Kaira, Brittney, Codie, Andy, Tiffany, Tonya, Lisa, and Rhonda; great grandchildren, Ryan, Brinley, Alexis, and Raegan. Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Hensley and Rev. James King officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 1 to 3 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
