Carrie Morgan

October 25, 1926 — January 8, 2021

Carrie Marie Mathis Morgan, 94, went to be with the Lord Friday, January 8, 2021. A native of Spring Creek, Mrs. Morgan had previously worked at American Enka, as a Department Manager for Rose’s Department Store, and as a Hostess for McDonald’s. She was a member of Center Pigeon Baptist Church in Haywood County, and loved singing harmony to gospel and country music. Mrs. Morgan was a hard worker, loved going to yard sales, and playing Bingo. She loved her animals and spoiled them greatly. Mrs. Morgan was the daughter of the late Jack and Sallie Worley Mathis. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Harold Hyatt Morgan; daughter, Patsy Jean Morgan; sister, Agnes Gardner; and brothers: Hugh Mathis and Lloyd Mathis. Surviving are her son, Mike Morgan; brothers: James Mathis and wife Louise, and Ted Mathis; and several nieces and nephews. Due to COVID 19, no funeral services are planned. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is assisting Mrs. Morgan’s family with her funeral arrangements.
