Carrie Jean Greene

Carrie Jean Greene, 65, of Candler, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Pisgah Manor. A native of Burke County, Carrie resided in Buncombe County for the past 34 years. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Embrace Ladies Group. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Ella Lutz Buff. She was also preceded in death by her step-father, Lester Les Powell. Surviving are her husband of 34 years, Neil Wilson Greene; sons: Justin Neil Green, Micah Kellan Green and his wife Kim; and a grandson, Liam Greene, all of Candler. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Derrick McCarson officiating. Burial will follow in the Hice Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 8 PM Monday at the funeral home. The Greene family would like to say Thank You to all the staff of Pisgah Manor for their exceptional care of Carrie Greene.
