Calvin Wright

HOUSTON, TX - Calvin Jack Wright, 73, formerly of Candler, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at the Michael Debakey VA Medical Center in Houston, TX. A native of Pasadena, TX, Mr. Wright had resided for a period of time in Buncombe County before returning to Texas. He was retired from the military, serving enlistments in both the US Marines as well as the US Army. Mr. Wright was the son of the late Floyd and Hazel Davis Wright, formerly of Canton. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Thursday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Hartman officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
