Buzz Henline

Asheville - Buzz Henline, 75, of Asheville, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Mitchell County, Buzz had resided in Buncombe County for the past 53 years. He retired from Lowes Home Improvement Warehouse, and was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. He was a dedicated veteran of the US Marine Corps. One of Buzzs greatest joys was the donation of wooden toys that he made himself to the children of inmates at Craggy Correctional Center at Christmas time. Buzz was the son of the late Paul and Gladys Bradshaw Henline, and was also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Roberson. Surviving are his wife, Reva Boyd Henline, of the home; children: Teena Ridenhour of Charlotte, Sherry Henline of Asheville and Jeff Henline of Fletcher; five grandchildren; three great-grandsons; brother, Bob Henline of Raleigh; sister, Nancy Jordan of Charlotte; and brothers-in-law: Earl Boyd and wife Eudeen and Gilmer Boyd and wife Chris. The family will receive friends from 6:00 8:00 PM Tuesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Private graveside services will be held at a later date at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Building Fund, 201 Mt.
