Buna Bartlett

Asheville Buna Graybeal Bartlett, 78, of 75 Sand Hill School Road, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, January 23, 2010 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A native of Buncombe County, Mrs. Bartlett had resided in Buncombe County since 1953. She had worked as the Housewares Department Manager at K-Mart, and was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church, where she was the Sunday School Secretary for 35 years. She was the daughter of the late William and Hattie Ollis Graybeal, and the wife of Perry Junior Bartlett, who passed away in 1994. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Bartlett Williams, who passed away in 2002; sisters: Mildred Fulton and Lorene Thomas; and brother, Michael Graybeal. Surviving are her granddaughter, Nichole Gibbs of Asheville; great-grandchildren: Kaylynn Luker, Hayden Luker, and Colton West; sisters: Betty Jones and husband Charles of Spruce Pine, Willie Wilson and husband Hugh of Newland, and Revonda Smith and husband Doug of Abilene, TX; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday at Edgewood Baptist Church, with the Rev. Lewis Gibson and Rev. Charles Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
