Buddy Gene Price Sr.

Asheville Buddy Gene Price, Sr., 77, of 165 Gashes Creek Road, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2010 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was the son of the late Willard and Cora Walker Price, and the husband of the late Margaret Jane Jones Price. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Elizabeth Price; sisters: Sylvia Price Moore and Bonnie Price Blankenship; and brother, Paul Price. Surviving are his sons: Buddy Gene Price, Jr. of Asheville, Ronnie Lee Price of Orlando, FL, and Jeffrey Lane Price of Asheville; granddaughter, Ansley Elizabeth Price Huntley; great-granddaughter, Victoria Rose Huntley; sisters: Nancy Blankenship and husband Fred of Asheville, Juanita Rhymer and husband Jerry of Swannanoa, and Alma Worley of Leicester; brothers: Jack Price and wife Mollie and Walker Price, all of Asheville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Monday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
