Bruce Riddle

November 7, 1922 — October 11, 2024

Candler – Bruce Riddle, 101, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 11, 2024, at the Aston Park Health Care Center.


A native of Madison County, he resided in Buncombe County most of his life. He was a son of the late Grant Riddle and Fannie Whaley Riddle, and husband of the late Grace Tweed Riddle. He was also preceded in death by his siblings: Rosie Ramsey, Margie Silvers, Sophie Fender, Loye Riddle, and Grady Riddle.


Mr. Riddle was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran.


Surviving are his children: Earl Riddle, Ronnie Riddle, Ernie Riddle, and Elizabeth Trepanier; 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Paul Riddle; and by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.


The family will receive friends from 10 till 11 AM on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Anders-Rice Funeral Home. A private graveside service will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Military Funeral Honors by the N.C. National Guard Honor Guard.


Anders-Rice Funeral Home and Cremation Center is honored to serve the Riddle family.
