Brenda Owenby

Fairview - Brenda Joy Sales Owenby, 72, of Fairview, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at the St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Mrs. Owenby was a member of East Flat Rock Freewill Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Hubert Allen and Addie Moore Sales, and was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Charles Dennis Owenby, who passed away June 29, 2013. Surviving are her daughter, Diana Owenby Wyatt and husband Dwight; son, Vincent Allen Owenby and wife Verlyn; grandchildren: Nathan Wyatt and wife Abby, Amber Taylor, Bethany Owenby, and Justin Owenby; sisters: Betty Biddix, Frances Milwood, and Kathy Presnell; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Glenn Burrell officiating.
