Asheville - Bobbie Lou Neely Dye, 79, died Tuesday July 15, 2008 at Memorial Mission Hospital after an extended illness. A native of Big Stone Gap, VA, she had lived in Asheville since 1963. She was a member of Starnes Cove Baptist Church. She was a diamond expert and had worked for Alan Lawrence Jewelers and for Emmanuel Lutheran School as a teachers assistant. She was a daughter of the late Steve and Lona Qualls Neely and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Dye-Moore. Surviving are her daughters, Teresa Dye and Lesia Roberts both of Asheville; sisters, Anne Johnson of Dryden, VA, Nancy Johnson of Latta, SC and Lois Antle of Corbin, KY and grandsons, Andy Roberts and Darren Roberts and his wife Rhonda. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Sams and Mr. Glenn Martin officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah View Memorial Park.
