Fletcher - William Bill Fred Fisher, Jr., 64, of Fletcher, went to be with the Lord Thursday, September 25, 2014. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Mr. Fisher was currently employed with Control Specialties, and was the former co-owner/operator of Mountain Heating and Cooling for 30 years. He was a member of Trinity of Fairview, where he served as Deacon and on numerous committees. Mr. Fisher was a US Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He was an avid fisherman and loved gospel music. Mr. Fisher was the son of the late William Fred Fisher, Sr., and Annie Mae Powell Fisher. Surviving are his wife, Sandra Elaine Lawing Fisher, whom he married November 19, 1972; daughters: Sandra Lynn Fisher of Asheboro and Kristen Fisher Swindell and husband Martin of Greensboro; sisters: Anita Fisher Jacobs and husband Jack of Wilmington and Pamela Kay Fisher of Asheville; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and sisters and brothers-in-law. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at Trinity of Fairview, with the Rev. Stacey Harris and Rev. Steve Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Tweeds Chapel Cemetery, with military graveside honors conducted by the Shaw Air Force Honor Team and the Henderson County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 5:00 7:00 PM Sunday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to Trinity of Fairview Building Fund, 646 Concord Road, Fletcher, NC 28732.
