Leicester Betty Jean Yoder Clemmons, 84, of 528 Willow Creek Road, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 5, 2014 at the St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she retired from Day International where she served in Quality Control. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church where she was a member of the Golden Hearts. Mrs. Clemmons was a daughter of the late John Houston Yoder and Ruth Christine McCarson Yoder and wife of Jake Nelson Clemmons who died in 1990. She was also preceded in death by her sons, Steven Ronald Clemmons and Charles Robert Clemmons and brothers, Junior Yoder and Bob Yoder. Surviving are her daughters, Linda Clemmons of Marion, Brenda Rogers and husband W.C. of Leicester, Jeanette Roberson and husband Randy of Asheville, Pamela Hutchinson and husband Roger of Canton, Becky Caldwell and husband Ronnie of Leicester and Patricia Justice and husband Carl of Asheville; sister, Carolyn Darlene Hensley of Asheville; brother, Charles Jerry Yoder of Asheville; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Friday, May 9, 2014 at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Walker and Rev. Allen Rash officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Phillip Shipman, Jason King, Dustin Hugg, Jamey Bond, Blaine Hutchinson and Michael King serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the church. We just want to thank God for choosing her to be our Mother
