Betty Sue Ledford

Asheville - Betty Sue Ledford, 76, of Beaver Drive, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Emerald Ridge Health and Rehab Center. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Mrs. Ledford worked as a seamstress at Mills Mfg. Company, and was a member of Freedom Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Hilliard Daniel and Evelyn Jane Brown Warren, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Lee Ledford. Surviving are her children: Connie Sue McAlister of Dallas, NC, Carol Morrow of Townsville, SC, Teresa Johnson of Asheville, Linda Silvers of Asheville, Mike Ledford of Seneca, SC, Steve Ledford of Asheville, and Tim Ledford of Weaverville; half-brother, Terry Daniel Jones of Mills Springs; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and special friends: Evelyn Trotter, Henny Brown and Sam and Loujean Cole. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Revs. Everette C. Haney, Jr., Keith Hutchinson, and Sam Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 1:00 2:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
