Betty Jean Stewart

May 3, 1934 — April 17, 2014

Mocksville Betty Jean Lunsford Stewart, 79, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at the Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. A native of Madison County, she was raised in Asheville until marriage at age 18 and had resided in Mocksville since 1995. She retired as a Cook for Hospitals, Nursing Homes and Holiday Inns. Mrs. Stewart was a daughter of the late Dorsey Lee Lunsford and Ora Mae Shelton Lunsford and was also preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda Lynn McFalls, sister, Helen Riddle, twin sister, Billie Anders, brother, Richard Lunsford and nephew, Larry Riddle. Surviving are her son, Dennis Phillip Stewart of the home; grandchildren, Marc Robert Bishop and wife Misty of Winston-Salem and Gina Gail Gosnell of Mocksville; great grandchildren, Skylar Lindsey, Moran Pinnix, Jake Pinnix and Dylan Wood; sister, Hazel Minshew and brother, Lloyd Lunsford and wife Beverly all of Macon, GA and nieces and nephews, Keith Anders, Roger Pearson, Kim Clements, Mike Pearson, Karen Anders and Derrick Lunsford. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Monday, April 21, 2014 at Green Hills Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Ronnie Owen officiating.
