Betty Jackson Taylor

Asheville - Betty Jackson Taylor, 64, of 44 Starmount Drive, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at the Mountain Area Hospice Solace Center following a period of declining health. A native of Hickory, NC, she had resided in Buncombe County since 1970. She was formerly employed with the Brian Center in Hickory in the dietary department. She attended Emma Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Mark Milton Jackson; husband, Robert Taylor; sister, Dorothy Ellen Jackson. Surviving are her mother, Robenia Frances Clayton Jackson of the home; sister, Myrna Bond and husband Sam of Dothan, AL; two brothers; Raymond Jackson of Arden and Mark T. Jackson of the home; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Sorrells officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10 - 11:00 AM Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Emma Baptist Church, 520 N.
