Betty Banks

Asheville - Betty Jane King Banks, 77, of 2060 Wilson Road died Friday - September 2, 2005 at her home following a long illness. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Verley and Essie King and the wife of the late Grady M. Banks, Jr. to whom she was married for 56 years. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Carl and Floyd King. Surviving are her sisters, Elsie King House and Agnes King Israel both of Asheville. She will be missed by her sisters and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert E. Harris officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
