Bertie Virginia Cauble Williams

June 2, 1908 — December 10, 2003

Fletcher - Bertie Virginia Cauble Williams, 95, of 15 Wrights Meadow Drive went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 10, 2003 at Fleshers Fairview Health Care Center. Mrs. Williams was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County and was a member of Trinity of Fairview Baptist Church where she was a member of the Sunshine Sunday School Class. She was the daughter of the late Jacob L. and Fannie Florence Pinkerton Cauble and she was the wife of the late George Herman Williams who died in 1992. She was also preceded in death by her son, G.H. Williams, Jr. Surviving are her daughters, Mary Catherine Wright and husband Jack of Fletcher and Dorothy Stirewalt of Fairview; sister, Grace Meadows of Fletcher; grandchildren, Ronnie Wright, Donnie Wright, Kathy Jones, Cheryl Lunsford and husband Ronald, and Jeffery Stirewalt; great grandchildren, Karin Jones and husband Bob, Robbie Wright and wife Elizabeth, Paul Wright, Lisa Cartwright and husband Clay, Ronnie Lunsford, Jr., Scott Jones, and Amanda Lunsford; great great granddaughters, Emily Wingo and Halee Wright. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday in Trinity of Fairview Baptist Church with the Revs. Steve Harris and Stacey Harris officiating. Burial will be in Emmas Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the services at the church. Memorials may be made to Trinity of Fairview Baptist Church Building Fund, 276 Concord Rd., Fletcher, NC 28732. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is serving the family.
