Bernice Rumbough

Bernice Edna Anderson Rumbough, 89, of 200 Tunnel Road, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A native of Yancey County, she had resided in Buncombe County most of her life. She retired in 1985 from Woolworths Company and was a member of Merrimon Avenue Baptist Church. Mrs. Rumbough was a daughter of the late Zeb and Lena Esther Wilson Anderson and wife of James Edward Rumbough who died December 11, 1986. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Pizano. Surviving are her sons, John Livingston of Aberdeen, WA, Merrill Livingston of Nashville, TN and Clarence Livingston of Fletcher; sister, Madge Kazlusky of Tucson, AZ; 10 grandchildren; a number of great and great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Sunday, August 11, 2013 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Dockery and Rev. Tom Lomax officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to services at the funeral home.
