Barbara T. Pressley

Lake Lure Barbara Jane Taylor Pressley, 75, of 1192 Memorial Hwy, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 4, 2013 at the Life Care Center of Hendersonville. A native and resident of Buncombe County for most of her life, she had resided in Lake Lure since 1997 and attended Chimney Rock Baptist Church. Mrs. Pressley was a daughter of the late Frank and Ella Mae Taylor. Surviving are her husband whom she married February 27, 1960, George H. Pressley of the home; son, Blaine Pressley and wife Tammy and granddaughters, Tara Pressley and Katie Pressley all formerly of Asheville; sisters, Mary Ella Mitchell Roberts of Easley, SC and Freda Cauble of Asheville. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Friday, November 8, 2013 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Daggerhart officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 PM Friday at the funeral home. Private graveside services for the family will be held at WNC State Veterans Cemetery.
