Barbara Athlene Hearn

Mullins, S.C. - Barbara Athlene Hearn, 81, died Friday, January 4, 2002 at the Mullins Nursing Center. A native and former resident of Asheville. Mrs. Hearn was a homemaker, member of the Episcopal faith and a daughter of the late Clarence Hubert and Tera Austin Wilson. She was the wife of William John Hearn, Jr. who died February 26, 1986. Surviving are her daughter, Patricia Anne Hearn of Mullins; sisters, Helen Davis of Asheville and Mary Metcalf of Peoria, Illinois; brother, Van Wilson of Newport News, Virginia. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Harry Woggon, Priest-In-Charge of St. Georges Parish Malvern Hills, officiating. Burial will be in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
