Barbara Ann Morningstar

Asheville - Barbara Ann Dotson Morningstar, 59, of 286 Oakley School Rd. died Saturday, January 24, 2004 at Mission Hospitals. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late William Thad and Lillian Huntley Dotson. She was also preceded in death by her son, William Ray Morningstar. Surviving are her husband, Michael R. Morningstar of the home; daughter, Tammy Morningstar Hess and husband Ronald of Candler; grandchildren, Erin and Cody Jones, Caitlyn and Jordan Hess; brother, Bill Dotson and wife Deanie of Marietta, GA; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday in Gashes Creek Baptist Church of which she was a member and the first woman Deacon. The Rev. Stanley Dotson will officiate. Burial will be in the church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be the Deacons of the church. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 PM Monday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
