Audrey Edwards Johnson

Swannanoa, NC - Audrey Geneva Edwards Johnson, 91, of 56 New Salem Road went to be with her Lord, Saturday June 11, 2016. Mrs. Johnson was a native of Yancey County and a resident of Buncombe County for the past 60 years. She was a daughter of the late Burgess Edwards and Diane Jones Edwards and the wife of the late Thomas Johnson and was a member of Westwood Baptist Church. She is survived by her children, Paul Biggs of Deltona, FL, Luther, Samuel and Wayne Biggs, Wanda Mills, Brenda Hensley, Sheila Allen and David and Bobby Engle all of Asheville; sister, Louise Edwards of Burnsville; brothers, Lincoln Edwards of Burnsville and Seth Edwards of Cummings, GA; 15 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 3 PM Wednesday, June 15, 2016 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
