Artie Poole Derting

Columbus - Artie Belle Poole Derting, 100, of 1938 Fox Mountain Road died Monday, December 27, 2004 at the Pisgah Manor Health Care Center following a short illness. A native of Rhea County, Tennessee she had resided in Columbus for the past 20 years. Mrs. Derting was a former elementary school teacher and piano and voice teacher and a member of the Tryon Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was the daughter of the late Lorenzo Dow Poole and Minnie Alice Burchard Poole and wife of the late Hubert Francis Derting. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Floyd Poole. Surviving are her daughters, Kay Ritchie of Egnar, CO., Lila Morgan of Columbus, Mary Jane Graves and husband, Ted of Candler, Anna Jean Allen and husband, Paul of Kenmore, WA and Tommie Sue Burchard of Dayton, TN., 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held at a later date at Ogden Road Seventh-day Adventist Church in Dayton, TN.
