Annie Evelyn Edwards

Alexander - Annie Evelyn Edwards, 83, of Fletcher Martin Road, passed away Monday, March 7, 2005 at Magnolia Health Care Center after a period of declining health. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a member of French Broad Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Jesse and Bessie Wilson Edwards. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Murphy and Harvey Edwards. Surviving are her sister, Clora Haynes and husband Boyd of Alexander; two nephews: Gary Haynes and wife Karen of Alexander, and Craig Haynes and wife Debbie of Candler; her niece, Rhonda Clevenger and husband Chuck of Cedarville, OH; and her sister-in-law, Bertie Edwards of Weaverville. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Thursday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dean Haney officiating. Burial will be in the French Broad Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
