Annetta Cole Price

Asheville - Annetta Cole Price, 91, formerly of 39 Cole Road, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2005 at Magnolia Healthcare Center following a period of declining health. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church in Leicester since 1930, where she was active in the church and Sunday School. She also served as the church custodian for over 34 years. Mrs. Price was the daughter of the late Joseph Archie and Allie Louisa Hall Cole, and the widow of Weaver V. Price. She was also preceded in death by her sisters: Nanny Clark and Gwendolyn Wilson; and brothers: Lanie, George, Ray and Joe Cole. Surviving are her step daughter, Willie Mills of Asheville; brother, Herman Cole and wife Edna of Leicester; two sisters-in-law: Era Cole of Arden and Viola Cole of Asheville; her nurse and caregiver for five years, Regina Martin of Hyannis, MA; several step grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 4 PM Thursday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Vernon Dover officiating. The family will receive friends from 3-4 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 10 AM Friday at Dix Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Senior Adult Ministry of Zion Hill Baptist Church, 1008 Newfound Road, Leicester, NC 28748.
