Arden - Anna Belle Pipes Elliott, 87, died Friday - December 1, 2006 at Fleshers Fairview Health Care Center. A native of Cherokee County, she grew up in Peachtree, attended Murphy High School, graduated from Burnsville High School and attended Mars Hill College. She had lived in Buncombe County since 1958 and was a member of Arden First Baptist Church. She retired in 1984 from Taylor Instruments after 20 years of service. She was a daughter of the late Rev. W. C. and Emma Kate Queen Pipes. Surviving are her husband of 67 years, Lloyd Elliott; daughters, Billie Coleman and husband B.L. of Mauldin, SC; Sherrie Johnson and husband Doug of Powell, TN and Debbie Hoggard and husband Jeffrey of Greenville, NC; two sons, Eddie Elliott and wife Marcia of Asheville and Dennis Elliott and wife Lorie of Broomfield, CO; 9 grandsons, Jeff and Greg Coleman, Doug, David, Daniel and Andy Elliott and John, Charles and Patrick Hoggard; granddaughter, Alicia Johnson; 4 great grandchildren, Patrick and Patricia Elliott and Nikki and Gregory Coleman; five brothers, Edward Pipes of Knoxville, TN, John Eugene Pipes of Lynchburg, VA, Wayne Pipes of Asheville, Ben Pipes of Murphy and Jack Pipes of Swannanoa and three sisters, Louellen Deyton of Swannanoa, Kathryn Deal of Sylva and Janet Parker of Asheville. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. James Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M.
