Anna B. King

Candler - Anna B. King, 74, of 32 Old Oak Hill Rd. went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 1, 2002 at Mission St. Josephs Health System after a brief illness. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Herbert C. and Sallie Jane Jackson Arrowood. Surviving are her husband of 40 years, Bobby King of the home; son, Gary Ronald Arrowood of Leicester; sisters, Lillie Mae Arrowood and Mary B. Penland both of Asheville, and Ellen James of Fayetteville; brothers, William Frank Arrowood of River, KY and Carroll Wayne Arrowood of Leicester; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at the Asheville First Church of the Nazarene of which she was a member. The Rev. James L. Stewart will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 PM Thursday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Asheville First Church of the Nazarene, 385 Hazel Mill Rd., Asheville, NC 28806. Mrs. King was loved and will be missed. by all who knew her.
