Candler Ann Deaton Wilson, 74, of 15 Old Candler Town Road went home to be with her Lord on Monday, October 8, 2012 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A native of Rome, GA, she had resided in Buncombe County for the past 59 years. She was Co-owner & Operator, along with her husband, of the Fred Wilson Plumbing Company. She was a daughter of the late Fred Lee Deaton and Clara Bell Stripling Deaton Shelton and was also preceded in death by her brothers, Danny, Terry and Leo. Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Fred Kenneth Wilson of the home; daughter, Sherry W. Case and husband, Melvin of Black Mountain; sons, Mike Wilson and wife Linda of Alexander and Danny Wilson of Asheville; grandchildren, Brandi Bailey, Alisha Case, Chad Case and Haley Wilson; great grandchildren, Lukas, Brendon, Tyler and Hannah; sister, Linda Sluder and husband Jim of Asheville; brothers, Jack Deaton of Candler and Junior Deaton of Henrietta and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held 4 PM Thursday, October 11, 2012 in the chapel of the Anders-Rice Funeral Home with her son, Rev. Mike Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following services at the funeral home and at other times, the family will be at the residence. Graveside services will be held 10 AM Friday, October 12, 2012 at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with Rev. Scott Uncapher officiating.
