Andres Merrill Williams

Fairview Andres Merrill Williams, 82, of 1372 Upper Brush Creek Rd. entered eternal life Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at her residence. She was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County and the daughter of the late Fred Eugene Merrill and Lessie May Gentry Merrill. Mrs. Williams was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Foy Williams; brothers, Ross Merrill and Rev. T.H. Merrill. She retired in 1987 following 25 years of service with C.P. Clare Company and was formerly employed with Southern Bell. Surviving are her daughters, Sandra Ann Williams, Tamara Lynn Williams and Tara Gwynn Williams all of Fairview; grand daughter, Cassie Hopper Merritt and husband, Kenneth and great grand daughter, Hailey Deseria Merritt all of Fairview. Graveside services will be held 11 AM Saturday at Cane Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Stacey Harris officiating. The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Tamara and Wes, 6 Shamrock Hills Drive off Emmas Grove Road.
