Anah Corn Tate

Asheville - Anah Thelma Corn Tate 97, of Reynolds Mountain Road died Saturday, September 10, 2005 following an extended illness. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County she was the daughter of the late Tolliver and Dora Frances Moore Corn. She was the wife of the late James Robert Tate and was also preceded in death by her daughters, Virginia Lovell, Geraldine Ploger and Martha Keyes. Mrs. Tate was a homemaker and a member of West Asheville Baptist Church since 1949. Surviving are her sons, Robert L. Tate of Port Charlotte, FL and Tolley Tate and wife, Linda of Asheville; daughter, Sharon Wardrup and husband, Jeff of Clyde; 19 grandchildren and a number of great and great great grandchildren; sister, Edna Henderson of Asheville and a number of nieces and nephews. Services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2005 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Phillips officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
