Amilee Hazel Mccurry Murray

Leicester - Amilee Hazel McCurry Murray, 90, passed away peacefully Wednesday night at her home in Leicester. Mrs. Murray was a friend to all. She loved to socialize and meet new people. Some of her hobbies included traveling, cooking, and searching for treasures at yard sales and antique shops. She had abundant energy and always wanted to be on the road, going anywhere and everywhere. Mrs. Murray lived a full and active life in Leicester. She was the daughter of the late James and Matilda Ledford McCurry. She was the widow of Sam Murray, with whom she had four children: Jim Murray and his wife Linda, Norma Murray, Brenda Murray, and Ray Murray and his wife Kay. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday at Newfound Baptist Church, with the Rev. Johnny Tiller officiating. Although Amilee is no longer with us, she will always be remembered as an energetic, good-natured, and friendly lady.
