Alma Lucille Drake

Hiawassee, GA Alma Lucille Kelley Drake, 93, of 108 Church Street, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at Brasstown Manor. A native of Haywood County, she resided most of her life in Buncombe County prior to moving to Georgia 3 1/2 years ago. She retired from Deerfield Retirement Community as a nurses assistant, and was a member of Oakley Baptist Church. Mrs. Drake was the daughter of the late Robert T. and Emma Jean Rhinehart Kelley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Clifton Drake, who passed away September 15, 1986; a grandson, Joseph Charles Drake; and 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Surviving are her son, Jerry Drake and wife Carolyn of Asheville; daughter, Barbara Rohr and husband Buddy of Blairsville, GA; grandchildren: Christopher Rohr and wife Melisa of Kennesaw, GA, Kimberly Collins and husband Justin of Denver, CO, and Bryan Rohr and wife Laura of Kennesaw; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tom Pierce officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
