Allan Taylor

March 3, 1940 — January 7, 2024

Clyde Allan Taylor, 83, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at the CarePartners Solace Center.

A native and resident for most of his life of Buncombe County, he retired as a Truck Driver, having served with Ingles Markets for more than 20 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.


Mr. Taylor was the son of the late Clyde Carter Taylor and Arizona Houston Taylor, and was also preceded in death by his son, Scott Allan Taylor who died December 24, 2012.


Surviving are his grandsons: Zachary Allan Taylor and Seth Thomas Taylor; friend and caretaker, Joy Taylor; special friend, Betty Sharp; and nieces and nephews.


A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, January 12, 2024, at Green Hills Cemetery with his grandson, Seth Taylor officiating.


The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:30 till 1:30 PM at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
