Alexandra Brooke King

Asheville Alexandra Brooke Alex King, 22, went to be with her Lord. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was employed as a waitress with Cracker Barrell-Smokey Park. She was a 2011 graduate of Charles D. Owen High School where she played on the Soccer Team all four years of high school and was Homecoming Queen her senior year and had attended A-B Tech. She served as a Coach in the Basketball and Soccer Program with Upward Sports Ministries and made the top ten in the State Amateur Chess Championship. Alex is the daughter of Michael Dane Butch King and Doris Reed King of Swannanoa. Surviving in addition to her parents are her sister, Michelle Burleson and husband Travis of Asheville; paternal grandmother, Mary Boyd and husband Gilmer of Asheville; her beloved fur baby Artimus and several uncles, aunts and cousins. Memorial services will be held at 5 PM on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Swannanoa with Rev. Jeff Dowdy and Rev. Dan Snyder officiating.
