Albert Wayne Morrow

Alexander - Chaplain Albert Wayne Morrow, 66, of 2184 Jenkins Valley Road died unexpectedly Sunday January 25, 2004. A native of Rutherford County, he had lived most of his life in Buncombe County. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service and had served as a Chaplain for Craggy Prison for the past 15 years. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church. He was a son of Katy Wilde Morrow of Leicester and the late Virgil E. Morrow. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Gail Morrow of the home; sons, Al Morrow of Chicago, Ill., Mike Morrow of Alexander and Gene Morrow of Asheville; sister, Alice King of Leicester; brother, Lester Morrow of Leicester and 7 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Wednesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Sprinkle and Chaplain George Holley officiating. Burial will be Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
