Ada Lavada Cole

Asheville - Ada Lavada Lewis Cole formerly of 123 School Road, Oakley, died Sunday, August 15, 2004 at the Alterra Clare Bridge of Asheville. A native and resident for most of her life of Buncombe County. She retired in 1976 from C.P. Claire Company when she along with her husband moved to Tucker, GA where they resided until returning to Buncombe County in 1983. She was a daughter of the late William Reiley Lewis and Margaret Lou Emma Galyean Lewis. Surviving are her husband, Drannan Henry Cole, Sr.; son, Drannan Henry Cole, Jr. and wife, Shirley of Tampa, FL; sister, Nettie Shook of Brevard; grandchildren, Michael D. Cole of Deltona, FL, Victor A. Cole of Edgewater FL, Pamela Lee Finney of Jefferson, GA. and Shannan E. Saxon of Nicholson, GA; 12 great grandchildren and two great great grandsons. Funeral services will be held 11 am Thursday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7 to 9 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
