Please allow Jehovah Gods words to comfort you for it tells us at John 5;28,29 Do not be amazed at this for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.

George was a wonderful man and will be missed tremendously. I work at the Lake Lure Town Hall where he was commissioner for four years and I have to say that he was definitely one of the best we have had here.

He would always call me on holidays and wish me a happy 'day'. Call just to say this to me. It was so very sweet.

He actually called and left me a message to call him last Wednesday afternoon. Unfortunately I was out with the flu and did not get the message until Monday. I feel so bad not being able to call him back. It makes me sad to think he was wondering why I was not returning his call.

I will be thinking of and praying for the family at this very hard time.

George and I worked many years together at Square D Company, and remained friends after our respective retirements. He was a class act and a man of great integrity. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with Blaine, Tammy, and family; and with George's brothers and their families. RIP, my good friend!

Blaine, Tammy, Bill, Tom, Annette and Family,

We are saddened beyond words. As all of you know George was a very special friend and neighbor. He was family. We will miss him more than we can say but our broken hearts are slowly mending knowing he is no longer fighting that terrible pain and that he is finally at peace with the Lord and with Barbara.

Love you all,

Gary and Jan

George and I developed a strong and enduring friendship during our time serving as Lake Lure commissioners. He was Everyman and we saw eye-to-eye on almost all things.

I shall miss our frequent talks and his uplifting spirit. He leaves a positive mark in the world.

Love to his family as life continues.

I worked with George for 14 years at Square D Company in Asheville and found him to be a very fair and caring person.
We traveled together on business trips several times and I had lunch with George and another former work associate, Don Hawkins, about two years ago in Asheville.
I always had great respect for George and pray the he now finds total peace in being with The Lord.
I pray for peace and comfort for George's family.
